What is unbranch
unbranch keeps a team’s canonical model: a structured map of what the product is. Every part of that map records the decision that put it there.
Most teams describe their product in documents such as a PRD, a Notion page or a Confluence space. Those documents start drifting the day they are written, because nothing connects the page to the decision behind it or to the work that delivered it. unbranch makes that connection the only way in.
The loop
Section titled “The loop”Propose → Consent → Commit → Model
- Propose. Someone writes down a change: a new direction for the product, a capability under one, or a boundary the product must respect. A proposal is text you can read, never an edit made in place.
- Consent. Every current member of the project answers it: they consent, abstain or object. An objection must name the risk and what would resolve it.
- Commit. Once everyone has answered and nobody objects, the proposal is accepted. Acceptance creates a commitment, pinned to the exact revision the team agreed to.
- Model. The agreed items enter the model as active. When the team verifies the work, they become delivered.
Each step is recorded in the project’s ledger, an append-only history. Every read of the model is stamped with the ledger position it was taken at.
Who it is for
Section titled “Who it is for”- The whole project team, as peers. Every project member reviews with equal standing. Acceptance needs an answer from each of them, so no member is a spectator and no member is the sole author.
- AI agents, as readers and drafters. An agent connected over MCP reads the model, proposals, commitments and ledger. It can talk an idea through with you and write a draft. It never consents, accepts, rejects, delivers or verifies. See Agents read, people decide.
The surfaces

| portal.unbranch.ai | Sign up, create a team, import your product, review and answer proposals, track delivery, read the model and the ledger. |
| Your AI tool, over MCP | Ask where the product stands, talk an idea through, and have the agent draft a proposal. See Connect an agent. |

What it is not
Section titled “What it is not”- Not a document editor. The written description of your product is generated from the ledger; nobody maintains it by hand.
- Not a voting tool. It uses consent, which asks a different question: is there a reasoned objection?
- Not an autopilot. Machine-written drafts are first passes. About seven in ten imports come back as a draft a person would keep. Every draft is read and fixed before the team sees it.
- Not a code checker. unbranch records what was agreed and what was delivered. It does not inspect your code for correctness.
