Quickstart

This is the shortest path from nothing to a product your team has agreed on. It takes one sitting for you, plus however long your team takes to answer.

  1. Create an account. Go to portal.unbranch.ai/register. Sign up with email and password, then enter the six-digit code mailed to you. Or continue with Google.

  2. Create a team. A team (an organization) owns your projects. Creating one also creates its first project, Default, with you as its owner.

  3. Invite the people who decide. Invite teammates to the team, then add them to the project. These are two separate steps on purpose: joining a team gives access to no projects by itself. Everyone on the project is a reviewer, and every open proposal waits for each of them. See Teams, projects and access.

  4. Bring in the product you already have. In the empty project, choose From what you already have. Give a one- or two-sentence summary of the product and paste up to ten excerpts of what your team has already written, such as release notes, a README or help pages. A draft comes back in about a minute. See Import your product.

  5. Read the draft and fix it. The draft is private to you until you send it. Check it against the five ways a draft is usually wrong, then send it for review.

  6. Let the team consent. Each project member opens the proposal and answers it: consent, abstain or object. When every member has answered and nobody objects, it is accepted, and your product is in the model.

  7. Mark what is already delivered. Accepting an import records what the product is; it delivers nothing. On the commitment, start delivery and then verify it, so the items that already exist show as delivered. See Commitments and delivery.

From here on, every change to the product goes through the same loop: a proposal, consent, a commitment, then the model.
