Working with an agent
A connected agent reads everything quickly and drafts carefully. Use it for that, and keep the decisions for your team.
Ask questions first
Section titled “Ask questions first”The model is the best context an agent can have. Start with questions:
- Where does my product stand?
- What is waiting on me?
- Who decided that exports are manual, and when? The agent reads the item and the proposal that introduced it, and answers with names, a date and a link.
- Is there already something like this idea?
Let it place the idea
Section titled “Let it place the idea”Before anything is written, a good agent says where the idea belongs: already there, an improvement to an existing capability, a new capability, a new direction, against a constraint, or not a product change at all. If it cannot tell, it names what the idea resembles and asks you.
Give it your words
Section titled “Give it your words”The agent asks for what the change does, why you want it and one thing it will not do, and it should not fill those gaps itself. Answer in your own words; they become the proposal’s signal and constraints. If you tell it to “just write it”, it should still ask for what is missing.
Look before it writes, and before it sends
Section titled “Look before it writes, and before it sends”- The concept first. The agent shows a few lines (what it does, what it will not do, why, and where it sits) and waits for your yes.
- The draft. It gives you a link every time it writes. Read it there.
- The check. It runs the audit and tells you plainly what was found.
- Send only when you say so. It sends for review only on your instruction. An import it never sends; you send that from the portal.
Imports through an agent
Section titled “Imports through an agent”Point it at the repository and the documents that describe the product. It asks before it reads other connected tools, because a wiki or an issue tracker holds far more than this product. Ask to see the outline before it writes. A direction cut wrongly, one concept split in two, or a missing area is cheap to fix in the outline and expensive once written.
Credits
Section titled “Credits”Writing drafts uses no model credits. Checking, and the send that opens review, each use the team’s monthly credits. If the pool is empty, the agent stops and tells you. Only a team owner or admin can upgrade.
